VISITING ARTIST ARCHIVE

The Yellowknife Guild of Arts and Crafts has hosted many multi-day workshops with visiting artists in both pottery and mixed media disciplines.  These workshops offer members the opportunity to develop skills in specialized aspects of a discipline and to gain inspiration for new directions in their art.  Our visiting artist workshops are made possible through grant funding from the NWT Arts Council.

Over the years, Guild members have been fortunate to participate in workshops with well-known and emerging artists in a variety of disciplines.  Techniques learned in these workshops allow for expansion in the scope of Guild classes and workshops and foster the artistic development of members.  Some of our past visiting artist workshops are highlighted below.
