VISITING ARTIST EVENTS
The Yellowknife Guild of Arts and Crafts strives to host a least one multi-day workshop per year with visiting artists in each of pottery and a mixed media discipline. These workshops offer members the opportunity to develop skills in specialized aspects of a discipline and to gain inspiration for new directions in their art. Visiting artists generally present a public talk or slideshow where attendees can learn about the artist and their medium. Our visiting artist workshops are made possible through grant funding from the NWT Arts Council.Jump to Upcoming Visiting Artist Events
Membership in the Yellowknife Guild of Arts and Crafts is required for participation in visiting artist workshops offered through the Guild. Visiting artist workshops are usually open only to full adult members. Visiting artist talks and slideshows are free to members and open to the public at a nominal fee of $1 to cover a special 1-day membership.
Registration and materials fees for visiting artist workshops are non-refundable except in very limited circumstances. Membership fees must be paid in advance of registration and are non-refundable even if a particular workshop is unavailable. Acknowledgement of our refund policy is a condition of registration. Registrations cannot be transferred between students or to other classes or workshops.
