FELTED BAGS - ANDREA GRAHAM

Andrea Graham visited the Yellowknife Guild of Arts and Crafts in August 2022 to present a workshop on the construction of wet-felted bags.  Andrea is a multi-media artist based in Ontario who creates contemporary fibre art including large-scale installations.

Andrea presented an engaging public slideshow depicting her development as a fibre artist, discussing felting concepts and techniques, and showcasing many of her felt creations.  Several Guild members then spent an inspiring and fun-filled weekend created their own wet-felted bags using a 3-D resist technique and a variety of surface embellishments.
