OUR BUILDING AND STUDIOS
The Yellowknife Guild of Arts and Crafts is located at 113 Kam Lake Road in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. The building is our first independent home in our 70+ year history. The first floor is occupied by our pottery studio while the second floor is used for our mixed media studio and library and provides meeting/presentation space.
The pottery studio is located on the first floor of our building and has a large array of equipment for use by studio potters and pottery classes, including the following:
The Guild library is located in a corner of the mixed media studio on the second floor of our building. The library contains an extensive collection of books on pottery and ceramics, weaving, knitting, basketry, felting and other arts and crafts. Donations to the collection are always welcome. MEETING/PRESENTATION SPACE The second floor of the Guild building is suitable for small to medium gatherings such as meetings, presentations and seminars. We often use the space for slideshows by visiting artists. The space is furnished with chairs and large tables and equipped with a projection system and room-darkening blinds. The space is available for daily or evening rental when not in use for Guild activities. | The mixed media studio is located on second floor of our building and provides space for a variety of disciplines. ONLINE STORE FOR MEMBERS The Guild does not operate as an arts and craft supply store but members can purchase clay and some mixed media supplies through our online store. Surplus materials from classes and workshops may also be available for purchase by members wishing to work on extra projects. |
