MEMBERSHIP

The Yellowknife Guild of Arts and Crafts is a group of artists, artisans, students and instructors passionate about learning and sharing art and craft skills in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.  Membership is open to anyone who shares these interests.

Membership is required to participate in any Guild activity, including classes, workshops, open studios and more.  Membership fees are important to our ability to sustain general costs of Guild operation such as insurance and administrative expenses.  Membership fees are non-refundable.  Memberships cannot be transferred.

Refer to the Policy - Guild Membership, our Info Sheet - YK Guild Membership, and the summary below for a description of our membership levels and to apply for membership.  Please review the membership levels carefully to ensure that you select a level appropriate to your desired participation in Guild activities.  In particular, be sure to review the registration options for classes and workshops in advance as registration may be limited by membership level.

MEMBERSHIP LEVELS

Adult Full Membership ($40/year):
Adult full membership is available to persons over 16 years of age who wish to be fully active members of the Guild. Subject to Guild policies and payment of applicable frees, a
dult members can participate in all Guild activities, including classes, workshops, and open studio sessions.  Adult members can also participate as sellers as Guild sales, serve as directors of the Guild, and vote at meetings of members of the Guild.  Adult full memberships are valid from the payment date until the following August 31.

Casual Membership ($10/quarter):
Casual membership is intended for persons over 16 years of age who wish only to attend a small number of classes or workshops offered by the Guild.  Casual members can participate in classes or workshops designated as being open to such members without incurring the additional cost associated with adult full membership.  Casual members cannot participate as sellers at Guild sales, attend open studio sessions, join class waitlists, serve as directors of the Guild, or attend meetings of the members of the Guild.  Casual memberships are valid from the payment date until the earliest of the following November 30, February 28, May 31 or August 31.

Child Membership ($10/year):
Child membership is available to persons under 16 years of age to enable participation in classes, workshops and other activities designated for children or youth.  Child members cannot participate as sellers at Guild sales, attend open studio sessions, serve as directors of the Guild, or attend meetings of the members of the Guild.  Child memberships are valid from the payment date until the following August 31.
