This spoon rest workshop introduces the techniques needed for throwing flat and making minor alterations to thrown pieces.  Short demonstrations combined with hands-on throwing practice will introduce techniques for centering flat pieces, creating angled rims, and altering rims.  Tips will be provided for trimming and glazing.

Prerequisites:  Successful completion of Wheel - Beginner Level 1.  Current scheduled open studio or full studio privileges.  Age 16 or older.  Adult full membership.

Cost:  $52 (clay not included; must be purchased through Guild website)

Registration Closes:  November 12, 2026

Important Note:  This workshop is the first in a 3-part series and is a prerequisite for the next 2 worskhops in the series: Plates and Platters and Chip-and-Dip Platters.
