The Yellowknife Guild of Arts and Crafts celebrated our 70th anniversary in 2016 with an arts and crafts display at the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre. Our show entitled "Evolution" highlighted the history of the Guild since its beginnings in 1946, the artistic growth of Guild members and students, and the creation of arts and crafts from raw materials through finished product.
Guild disciplines featured in the show included pottery, weaving, knitting, felting, fabric dyeing, basketry, fused glass, stained glass, silversmithing, and bird carving. Browse the photo gallery below to view the many pieces made by current and former Guild members and displayed in the show.
